41) "Hooligan" As a general rule I never use the dynamic auto focus settings on the camera, just the single auto focus setting. A computer is no substitute for judging a complex scenario like this, is it the fence, the guy, the tree or the building? And if you use the aperture fairly wide open, the focus is critical. In the long run you'll get faster at it & more accurate, than the camera. -Nikon D70, ISO 200, Manual Shutter 1/100 sec, Lens: fixed 50mm 1.8f (digital 80mm), f-stop set at 5, Auto focus, Camera file format saved as Jpeg large fine. Exterior Paris, sunny.
